Matt and Alison MacGregor started finding neglected homes in great locations and reinventing them 20 Years ago. The son of an architect surrounded by construction growing up, Matt went into the mortgage business and Alison in the design and staging business - a perfect combination of skills and passion.
Beginning in Queen Anne and the Seattle area, and over 125 homes later, they are currently building on Bainbridge Island where they reside (and where Matt grew up). Although their main focus is residential they have included commercial and mixed-use properties. With the collaboration of talented architects, subs and tradesmen, as well as their own skilled crew, they have made every aspect of their projects unique.
Their primary focus is creating custom homes for sale on the island where they are an active part of the community and now well known for their quality-built, eco-conscious, NW contemporaries.
They are local sponsors of youth leagues to fresh farms, and have assisted BI Youth Services facilities and other non profit services to support island needs. Offering affordable housing in modern built green Tiny Homes, to improving common areas, they strive to help the community they love along the way.
Unique and thoughtful home creation takes time. So unlike true spec builders Layline Design+Build only crafts a few great projects per year. They occasionally can be convinced to build a few client custom homes as well as offering Interior Design and furnishings selections.
